"wasted films” is a solo exhibition by experimental analogue photographer, Mads Madison. Mads manipulates film, Polaroid, light-sensitive paper and prints using various tools and techniques, such as emulsion lifts or multiple exposures, and applying darkroom chemicals, bleach and other household products to achieve unique and often unpredictable visual effects. The exhibition features Mads’s individual work, as well as the results of his collaboration with artists Nils Karlson and Graeme Webb.
“wasted films” is the second in a series of 9 exhibitions that will be organised in 2018 in 76m2, Pontypool by the*kickplate*project, with the support from the Arts Council of Wales, Torfaen Council's Arts Development and Pontypool Community Council. *** Mae "ffilmiau gwastraff" yn arddangosiad solo gan y ffotograffydd anolog arbrofol, Mads Madison. Mae Mads yn llurginio ffilm, Polaroid, papur sensitif i olau a phrintiau'n defnyddio gwahanol ddulliau a thechnegau, megis codi emwlsiwn neu ddadleniadau lluosog a gosod cemegau ystafell dywyll, can a chynnyrch cartref arall i gael effeithiau gweledol unigryw ac aml annisgwy. Mae'r arddangosfa yn dangos gwaith unigol Mads, yn ogystal â chanlyniadau ei cydweithio gyda'r artistiaid Nils Karlson a Graeme Webb. Mae "ffilmiau gwastraff" yn ail o gyfres o 9 arddangosfa a drefnir yn 2018 yn 76m2, Pont-y-pŵl gan brosiect *kickplate*, gyda chefnogaeth gan Gyngor Celfyddydau Cymru, Adran Datblygu Celfyddydau Cyngor Torfaen a Chyngor Cymuned Pont-y-pŵl. |
